For decades, retail consumers have taken isolated ascorbic acid supplements believing they are using a natural product. Both our acerola and camu camu berries are handpicked at the optimum time, when the color reveals their peak vitamin C content. At the processing facility, the berries are stored at temperatures just above freezing to preserve their vital nutrients. This stringent temperature control is maintained throughout the entire concentrating process. In a proprietary process, our acerola and camu camu berries are gently concentrated in a cold-liquid extraction. The syrup is then filtered and dried in a vacuum at low temperatures to protect the fragile, heat- and oxygen-sensitive vitamin C. Our gentle extraction process allows us to create an unusually potent concentrate without any added ascorbic acid. These are truly natural products! In an exclusive process, our potent acerola and camu camu concentrates are put into a natural matrix with pure, nutritive, certified organic manioc root powder to ensure a three-year shelf-life with full product stability. This innovation allows us to completely avoid the use of any potentially genetically modified material, such as maltodextrin.
